Swiss specialists in one physical system.
Traila are wheel-rail interface specialists. The founders' research into the wheel-rail contact and vehicle dynamics reaches back to the mid-1990s, across rotating-flange wheels, adaptive conicity and active-steering methods, all aimed at the same root cause: what happens where the wheel meets the rail.
Founded 2018, Regensdorf, Zurich.
Professor Oldrich Polach is a world-renowned pioneer in railway vehicle dynamics, most famous for developing the Polach formulation (or Polach method). This mathematical approach calculates the tangential creep forces and adhesion generated at the tiny interface where a rail vehicle wheel meets the rail.

Silencing the interface takes accurate sensing, proven chemistry, and the intelligence to aim both. Traila reads the contact across the fleet and decides where conditioning pays; the sensing hardware and the conditioning pedigree come from specialists with decades on exactly those parts. The operator deals with one provider, accountable for the quiet. Traila works with your available monitoring and application systems where possible.
